Anna Marie attended Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA
for the AVMA Accredited Veterinary Technician Program
where she graduated in 1978 with an Associated Degree in Science. 
She attended her practicum at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine
at the New Bolton Center Campus located in Kennett Square, PA (  www.vet.upenn.edu/nbc
and at the Philadelphia Campus.  (  www.vet.upenn.edu/philadelphia  )
Before moving to the Erie area she worked at the Bethayres Veterinary Hospital in Huntington Valley, PA. 
She became a PA Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) upon passing the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE).  
She attends veterinary continuing education seminars regularly. 
Anna Marie is very active in the outdoors with her many interests and her activities
she shares with her husband, four sons,
 and her Chesapeake Bay Retrievers.

 

Overview of the Harcum College Veterinary Technician Program

Veterinary technicians are nurses for the veterinary profession. This six-semester program at Harcum College( www.harcum.edu ) prepares students to enter a career as a veterinary technician in private veterinary practice, zoo/wildlife medicine, biomedical research, pharmaceutical sales, teaching, humane societies, raising livestock, or anywhere the health and welfare of animals is a concern. Students get their hands-on experience at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association, the program's graduates are eligible to sit for the state certification exam and the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science exam at the assistant technician level.
